"The Gospel" - Many people have heard this term used all of their lives, yet have never had anyone explain to them exactly what "The Gospel" is. The Bibles says in 1Jn 5:20,

And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.

Notice how the Bible says that Jesus Christ is eternal life. Once more, the Bible says in 1Jn 5:12,

He that hath the Son hath life

Now here is what we need to understand: As the Son of God is eternal life, so the Gospel is the handle God has placed upon that life, to give our "hands of faith" something to grab hold of. God has only given us one Gospel. This means there is only one handle for us to place our hands upon. Failing to understand the Gospel, therefore, will result in a person reaching for eternal life, but never laying hold of it. Listen to this message now to gain a clear and simple understanding of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and give your faith something to hold on to.
